About Vitality

Who We Are

Our Purpose

The mission of Vitality Unlimited is to provide a new path to a better life by providing services related to substance abuse treatment, behavioral health services, affordable housing, and programs designed to meet the specific needs of our veterans. We thank them for their service.

Vitality Unlimited is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the community at large. Vitality Unlimited is a non-for-profit, federally recognized, 501(c)(3) corporation with a long, successful history of providing community services, affordable housing, high-quality chemical dependency treatment, and access to behavioral health services. Our successful record of accomplishment is due to the hard work and expertise of our staff and the guidance of our Board of Directors.

What started in 1971 as a one-person, remote, outpatient substance abuse treatment office in Elko has become a social safety net service the resident of the state of Nevada. The Vitality Unlimited organizational umbrella reflects the broadened scope of our nonprofit community service agency. The mission on Vitality Unlimited is to improve the health and welfare of society by reducing the number of individuals dependent on alcohol and other drugs, increasing access to behavioral health services as ell as establishing and fostering linkages related to wrap around services and programs designed to improve quality of life.

Long ago Vitality Unlimited began to weave into the threads of our culture an integrated network of co-occurring treatment services with clinical and non-clinical modalities, designed so that an individual’s changing needs were met as the individual moved through the treatment and recovery process.  Our levels of care are certified by the Behavioral Health Prevention and Treatment Agency and our treatment facilities licensed through the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC).  These levels of care include an Evaluation Center, ASAM Levels I/COD, II.1/COD, II.5/COD, III.1/COD, III.5/COD, and III.2 WM/COD, as well as transitional housing for adults and adolescents. Our locations currently include Elko, Carson City, Winnemucca, Reno, Sun Valley and Las Vegas.

With this as a foundation, Vitality Unlimited added to our continuum of care for substance abuse and mental health clients, bi-lingual services, pet therapy, transitional and low income affordable housing for families, seniors and homeless veterans.   Vitality Unlimited recognizes that success must be earned through innovation, hard work, responsiveness to client and employee needs, and integrity in all business practices.
